Designing a flexible, demo-ready experience for an AI insurance product
When M47 introduced us to Claims47, their ambition was clear: to revolutionize insurance claims management with AI, turning processes that once took weeks into tasks completed in minutes.

The platform already featured powerful technical capabilities: intelligent document capture, fraud detection, automated medical coding (ICD-10, CPT), currency conversion, multilingual translation, coverage validation, and automated customer communication. However, the flows and interfaces had been designed primarily from an engineering perspective — something common in complex tech projects.
Our challenge as experts in UX for SaaS was to transform those capabilities into a clear, flexible, and adaptive experience, capable of fitting the diverse processes of different insurers.
Collaboration with M47 was, as always, agile and strategic. Instead of diving into highly specific process details, we worked with reusable components defined in earlier projects, designing modular flows that allowed us to create a demo-ready MVP.
Our goals were to:
- Define user-centered interaction flows for the main functionalities.
- Create a flexible product, adaptable to the wide variety of insurers’ internal processes.
- Build a functional, convincing MVP, ready for client demos without the need to anticipate every specific scenario.
- Leverage the existing component library to accelerate delivery and ensure consistency across the experience.

During the design process, we began by mapping Claims47’s capabilities into clear, coherent user flows, ensuring each module fit into a logical and understandable journey. Next, we adopted a modular design, structuring the experience into reusable, configurable components so the same MVP could serve both commercial demos and future production adaptations.
We prioritized functionalities with the highest perceived value, such as intelligent document capture and automated coverage validation. The result was a functional, flexible, and demo-friendly product.
In a pilot with MutualMédica, Claims47 helped transform a slow, manual process into one that was much faster and more consistent, reducing workload in medical form reviews by up to 80%, while ensuring that final decisions remained in expert hands and fully complied with regulatory standards.
