Our little big 2013

30 Dec, 2013, by Sergio. 2 comments

When we talk to clients or friends, we are often told that we don't make any noise, that we go too unnoticed for the amount of projects and initiatives we are involved in considering the small size of our studio.

We certainly don't disagree with them, but we are fervent believers in word of mouth and to date our best prescribers have been our clients, who, in addition to our work, highly value our discretion and silence. Yes, it's an idealistic and somewhat naïve strategy, but it works for us.

Nevertheless, and as the umpteenth attempt to make this sad blog more dynamic, we thought it would be a good idea to talk a little about what this year has been like for us, to see things in perspective and make our assessments:

During the first quarter of 2013 we were finalising details for a couple of projects with the eHealth team at Telefónica R&D and we worked on the Deskidea redesign.

We have been collaborating on an ongoing basis with the team of Niumba, Following the purchase of TripAdvisor and the consequent integration of teams and systems, since the second quarter it has been a whirlwind of work that promises to continue throughout 2014.

We continue to collaborate with Multiplica. With them, we participated in long-term projects with La Caixa, Bolsa Abierta, Fundación La Caixa, Endesa, Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza and Volkswagen, among others. We have also participated sporadically in some projects with our office colleagues: The Data Republic.

For the second consecutive year, the organisation of UX Spain brought us to Sergio, Yusef, César and myself, and involved more than one sleepless night and many weekends working to be able to combine it with the studio's projects.

The summer was very hectic, with the definition and responsive redesign of the website of Spain Ticket Bureau (one of our most loyal clients since the beginning of the studio), and some small consulting work for a couple of startups.

Since the middle of the year, we have been working very intensively again with the team of ReviewPro, The new version of the product and the development of new functionalities for its tool.

We hope that 2014 will live up to your dreams. Happy New Year!
