2 basic books on design methodology
I would like to recommend a couple of books that I think are essential on design methodology, a classic and a novelty, separated by almost 40 years.
The classic: The Universal Traveller, is a little gem of hippie culture, almost an incunabulum, handmade in 1972 by its two authors, Don Koberg y Jim Bagnall, The work was based on photocopies, magazine clippings, prints and an old typewriter.

It is a unique, fun, systematic and accessible book for all readers, dealing with creativity and problem-solving methodologies.
After advising us to do physical exercise in the first chapter (a declaration of intent), the book's script begins with the acceptance and definition of a problem and ends with the implementation of decisions and evaluation of results, diagrams of a great spiral that ends close to where it begins. The authors describe this iterative process as a «round-trip» journey.
What's new: Universal Methods of Design by Bella Martin and Bruce Hanington, is a must-read for any self-respecting User Experience student or post-it writer.

Sequel to the essential Universal Principles of Design by William Lidwell, the book follows the same visual format and design as the first, as a guide/dictionary, covering a wide variety of design methodologies such as the card sorting, the eye tracking, user testing, etc.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
