10 years is nothing
For most of our generation, this is an accidental profession. The profession of interaction designer or UX specialist did not exist, as we know it, when we were in college. Whatever our background, We evolved until we found one or more facets of the profession where we felt comfortable and where we could contribute something.
In our case, we also started our adventure as entrepreneurs by accident; prompted by friends and almost “pushed” by clients who wanted to work with us independently.
We took the name Guindo almost anecdotally and whimsically: a guindo is a wild cherry tree, a very tall and leafy tree that grows in abundance in the mountains of Palencia, where we usually spend our summers in the family home. We liked it because it was a very short domain and open to be used for anything, although the first years when I was asked and did not want to give explanations I said it was an acronym for “...".“Graphical User Interfaces aNd Design Overall”(very forced, yes).
Be that as it may, this adventure has been going on for 10 years, the last 4 with full dedication to the studio, and we wanted to take advantage of the occasion to give a facelift to our abandoned site and give a twist to our logo: with the intention of making it more open, abstract and suggestive, but without losing the essence and ingenuity of the original.

We could tell you that in its creation we have taken into account the grid, the minimalism, the dynamic orientation and the calligraphic eroticism of the shapes... but that would be an insult to your intelligence, wouldn't it?

Needless to say, as the umpteenth promise, we hope to continue updating this site and publishing posts as irregularly and inconsistently as ever. When we can.
And may there be many more :) congratulations!
Thank you Laura!
Although late, I salute and celebrate your 10 years. I must admit that working with the help of Guindo, specifically with Sergio, when we started the change of designs of the Niumba project, has been a pleasant and enriching experience.
The involvement with the client and the search for «design» is one of your virtues that makes you special.
Greetings, and a big hug! Here's to 10 more years!
Thank you very much César, it was our pleasure.
